Isaiah 61:1-3

Isaiah 61:1-3
1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me , because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek ; has
sent Me to heal the brokenhearted , to proclaim liberty to the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners ;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourn ;
3 to order about those who mourn in Zion , to give them a garland instead of ashes , the oil of joy for mourning , the
garment of praise instead of a faint spirit ; in order that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of
the Lord so that he may be glorified .
Isaiah lived about 700 years before the Lord Jesus , and he prophesied about the Lord Jesus. In this prophecy we see the
mission of the Lord Jesus, the prophetic role that the Lord would perform at his coming into the world . The Lord Jesus
had the power to carry out his father's redemptive work . The action of salvation was for the purpose of salvation . The
continuity of the action of the Holy Spirit remains today. The good news we need to hear today is that God works in man's
life to free you from sorrow . The good news is that the brokenhearted the Lord commanded to proclaim freedom. The good
news is that the Lord Jesus cleanses from all sin and man is free. The Lord can deliver you and set you free from what
binds you . The Holy Spirit came to speak of a time of salvation , and comfort all that mourn . If you are sad ,
discouraged , there is a consolation, an action of the Holy Spirit in your life. The Lord has comforted and blessed be
the name of the Lord . The Lord wants to take the sadness and give joy to your heart . The Lord Jesus came to bring good
news . The Lord has the ability to give garments of joy instead of sorrow . Do you believe that the Lord can do this ? He
can . The Peace of the Lord Jesus , amen ?

Motto for the year 2013: "in this battle you have no that fight; postcards-you stay stopped and see the deliverance which
the Lord will grant, o Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or dismayed; tomorrow came out to meet them, because the
Lord is with you" II Chronicles 20:17
